Yr 10 Pachelbel Assessment (Izlanders)

In this video my group playing an arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D and i am playing the piano, I found trying to keep in sync with everyone quite difficult, We faced two major challenges which included the ending and getting everyone in one place. We overcame these challenges by rehearsing and practising during intervals and lunch times on days we didn't have music. Our arrangement is different from the original because we added reggae to the mix, put together four different instruments, having an increasing and decreasing tempo. Our performance was good because in the end we actually managed to make quite the piece. Our performance could have been better because we wanted to get it over and one with so we ended up rushing a few aspects. I enjoyed this task because i was able to play with some of my close classmates. I learned from this task that bass line is important no matter what, adding different styles of music and communication skills. For the next task i will try to participate more within the project.

  1. I've been very impressed by the commitment your group has shown by rehearsing in your own time. I like your goal for the next task - I look forward to hearing you put forward more of your own ideas into the mix!
